Just drawn to Raf's earlier work that stemmed from political unrest, youth subculture, revolt, ect. Just something I can relate to. Not gonna go SZ on you..

I disagree with these political agendas using clothing as a medium, have zero interest in any of it.

They're simply cultural themes that influenced his work. I don't believe he ever promoted any personal agendas.

um, i think it's safe to say he was comoditizing a bullshit political stance. why i love rick, when people ask what influences his collections, his answers include things like gas station attendents

I mostly agree, but I do see the appeal in dress in connection with politics. Like the whole punk rock "look" or whatever, it is interesting to see how politics and social issues influenced it and how it has became analogous to having a distinct ideology if you dressed a certain way.

I also don't know shit about raf and I also don't even know if that is anywhere close to what the discussion is about.

I dress heavily the way I do because of ideological reasons, guess its not for everyone but I'm certainly comfortable in saying its better than empty bullshit like picking up sluts.

    so is raf, now.

:fistbump: i love how so much of it was just carefree, baggy and just thrown on but still worked. whatever the influence (everyone draws from somewhere or other), the end product is what i liked.
