Thanks, man. I had the quarters opened up and rounded a bit and little bit of a slimmer chest with this one.

Cool. Thought the chest looked a bit slimmer, relatively speaking, than on some of their other stuff. Seems like a good way to go for you.

I like it a alot. Might have them take in the shoulders a touch, but I have a while to wear it before I decide if there's anything I'd like tweaked.

Congrats on your new healthier lifestyle. Just go with the house cut you like best. A good tailor should be able to work with you regardless of body type. As long as you accept their house cut.

From a fitting with Corcos I had last fall. Hope to complete this soon. Asked for a more 3-btn than 3r2 to have a smaller V.

Cloth is a dark grey worsted HFW or Minnis, not sure right now.

check out Paul Stuart Custom they will take care of you.

I don't get the appeal of custom at that store... prices are obscene... if you're spending big bucks on a suit ($2.5k+) why would you get MTM Samuelsohn when you could get real bespoke?

I guess you could say the same thing about RLPL

You make it sound so easy but you're obviously uninitiated with Paul Stuart Custom.

Back in 2012/2013 there just wasn't enough data points that made me want to try some of tailoring houses mentioned on the forum.

It was a lot of money for me at the time and I didn't want to give a tailor an order and have him no show (Solito or the dwarf oval head ring a bell). Also, I was not impressed with some of the things being posted on the forum at the time. I wanted someone who I had easy access to and didn't have to wait on a travel schedule. I remember reading the write ups by Stephen Pulvirent, Asuitable Wardrobe, and the Maxminimus Blog about AF and Paul Stuart and was impressed with what I saw. I gave Paul Stuart a shot and they did not disappoint.

After doing more research I learned the Paul Stuart suits were made by Martin Greenfield and felt cheated. I gave Steed and W. Field a try and can honestly say the Paul Stuart suits were better from a fit and style perspective from the get go. I've had to work with Steed to get my pattern down.

I don't have to think with Paul Stuart whatever they do it works.

Appreciate the thoughts, all. I'll keep you posted on this endeavor and will update as I get closer to the point I'll need to pull the trigger with respect to the fall travel schedules of some of the tailors under consideration.

What is the reason for this? It seems less like a preference and more like collective confusion.

Same reason as everyone in Styleforum CM is getting or considering a Solaro suit I guess. Just on a larger scale. I think they call it a "trend". On Wikipedia they sum it up like this:

"A fad or trend or craze is any form of collective behavior that develops within a culture, a generation or social group and which impulse is followed enthusiastically by a group of people for a finite period of time."

Agree. I expect Sartoria Corcos to get a perfect back - especially since it's not his first commission with Leaves.

I wonder if the dude in the second pic can move his arms. Looks quite restricting
