but the color of the waistcoat and particularly the shirt just don't jive. I'd suggest more neutral, earthy tones.

So that wastcoat with another neutral tone underneath. Duly noted, thanks again.

I plan to wear them alot too, so I'll pay close attention to your postings and attempt to learn from your zen mastery of the waistcoat.

I'm not entirely sold on the use of the chain. As a secret classicist, I'd have enjoyed seeing it threaded across the waistcoat itself, though that may not be to your taste. Otherwise, it's a good look and photo, more natural than the usual here

Agreed. It's pulling and folding and stretching in all the wrong places. I have to agree with Eason about the pants, but if he were dead-set on wearing them, I'd go with something VERY simple, like a clean white buttondown with no front pocket (something minimal/slim). Anyway, here is a link to my fit today: http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.p...ostcount=35783

This whole crossover posting thing feels kind of obnoxious to me, does anyone else feel that way? Anyway... This is what happens when you attempt to turn pants into shorts, not sure how thrilled I am with the results but, here we go. First fit for the whole March mixing it up thing…hahahah…(and yes I am aware of the weird bunching with the Henley)

^ I don't get the whole thing with shorts and a sweater or jacket - especially with the layers thing. I mean it looks alright, but are you dressing for warm or cool weather?

50's to 60's I guess. Depends on what you would define that as, cool for Florida.

After living in Maryland for the last six months I know what you mean, but once you get used to it being 85-90 degrees all the time, and then one night in spring it's like in the high forties or mid to low fifties, you want a jacket and maybe another layer.

No comments whatsoever? Are people just being nice here? I figured at least someone would take issue with this, short boot tuck being rather unpopular as are vests.

^ +1 Andrew, I like your taste in neutrals as always, though I think this look is slightly too tonal and could've used a blue hue. I hear you re: trousers-to-shorts; I have a similar pair in blue with the same issue

andrewryan, im surprised how much I like that, but the shoes really have to go. Penny loafers instead?

jdmay, looks good, and the layering works well. I agree on the others regarding the boot tuck. A shirt tuck might be good, but it works well like that aswell.
