Those are both slightly altered quotes from an incredibly funny book called "Confederacy of Dunces." You are being compared to Ignatious J. Reilly, the main character. It can be taken as a compliment, he was a misunderstood genius (and a total asshole, though, I am sure that does not apply in your case).
