but they have had lasts that run larger than size as well

Thanks for the info. Though unfortunately due to my wide foot, it looks like I probably won't be getting a pair of PS shoes ever.

I looked for a pair of these in the UK and had major problems, even emailed paul smith .co.uk and got a response back to say that they had none left....

I have a wide foot as well and I have managed to purchase and wear PS shoe comfortably. I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be able to enjoy a pair or two as well.

last fall they had some killer brogue boots I wanted but they were on a new last that was really wide and they never got any sizes in the 6-6.5UK range which is what I would have needed....so there have been wide options

Huh, well then I guess I'll continue to keep my eye out and salivate over those red shoes posted on the previous page.

The Cage fits somewhat wide. It's not their typical narrow shoe. If possible, give it a try.

I don't think PS shoes run narrow, though it all depends on the shoe. PS has many different makers and they are all slightly different.

The shoes are just elongated, at least recently. It just means you have to go and try them on for size. If you get the right size according to how they feel, I have found them to be very comfortable. And if anything, they run completely medium in width, not narrow.

Just a quick question, especially after seeing the boots above:
What's the general consensus on John Varvatos and To Boot New York boots?

I've been buying the Varvatos converse for awhile now (3rd pair: first were the low top black with the black stretchy cords, second pair black high top with spikes, third are a brown purcel) and have been eyeing some of his boots. I like the plain, no-nonsense look he makes, similar to my TBNY Anconas.

I don't like JV boots, just save up your money and get the PS ricard boots, they're on sale at the PS site for 381 ship. Or buy the PS bronte boots on NM's site for 300 shipped.

The Ricard boots and numerous other PS shoes are on sale at the PS store as well. I couldn't resist and purchased the brown Ricards as well, among other things.

Does anyone know if Millers fit similar to Starr's? If so I'm thinking of sizing down 1/2 and buying the Miller on the paul smith store.. I think my Starr's might be a bit big if only marginally.

I don't think Miller's are blake or "goodyear" welted... but I could be wrong.

Damn. Just checked on the PS website and Ricards are gone in an 11uk. I'm guessing that size would fit if I'm an 11 uk in the starr.

Has anyone who has been to the actual PS shops seen the brown Ricard's on sale?
