When I asked the question about wearing boots in the UK summer I probably should have said that I live in the UK. I just haven't noticed if people wear boots then or not.

Only if it's "African" Kudu.... ...but seriously...no reason not to.

Just to add...mentioned a while back I had spent the summer working on a farm in southern Cornwall in 73 while at University...there was a heatwave and wore boots the whole time, nettles be damned. : )

Looking a bit scruffy. But I'd heard about how Cordovan responds well to a brushing:

Turned out quite nice sizing worked out well too as I'd already returned a Bobby in my usual size 10 that was slightly too small - these are perfect.

The fit of the unlined castorino suede Robert derbys in UK 7 on the 2298 last on an ultraflex sole seems to be working out well for me. My question is: can I go ahead and confidently order other styles in the same size on this 2298 last? Or, if it will make a difference that the models I want to order have linings, use different leathers than castorino, and have thicker/harder soles (commando, double leather, or dainite) rather than the ultraflex ones and therefore a different size might be necessary. Thank you for any thoughts or advice.
