New SF member and not sure where to find the answer you're looking for? Have a quick question that doesn't belong in a current thread? Welcome, you found the right place.

This is a weekly thread where new users can ask quick questions and get a solid answer. If a thread already exists that would be more helpful, we will point you in the right direction. The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.....so ask away!

I recently purchased a custom linen/wool (50/50) blend suit that has a LOT of small fuzzy balls that almost look like "pilling". It's not limited to one area, but all over the jacket/sleeves, and pants. The pictures I took below do not do justice to the fuzzy balls, as they don't fully show the 3-D/raised nature of them.

As a novice to menswear, are these normal? If not, any ideas on how to resolve the situation? I feel almost embarrassed to wear the suit given all these "imperfections."

Welcome to the forum, Franky. Based on those pictures, it looks normal. That's linen...it has some texture to it.

Not imperfections, quite normal for most linen.

Wear it and enjoy, don't fret.

Hey,

I found 3 NWT?/NWOT (they still have the stitched on tags on the arm and are untailored) Ermenegildo Zegna Napoli Couture 15 mil 15 suits in a 40r for $200 each at a thrift shop. Unfortunately they don't fit. Do you think these are cheap enough to be worth buying to sell?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, French. I'm not a thrifter so I don't have a clue, but these guys will http://www.styleforum.net/t/9006/the-official-thrift-discount-store-bragging-thread. Best of luck.

Hello! Need some help with finding ties that match these dress shirts that I have. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!!

Welcome to the forum, fashion. This is not what you want to hear, but those are casual shirts and really not suitable for ties. If you insist on a tie, stick with solids.

Hey there, anyone know anything about Helmut Lang suiting? I found one for a complete bargain, but unsure as to quality/ how to determine year. Anyone with knowledge regarding them would be helpful.

I'm looking for something on the cheap and narrowed it down to these two.

Uniqlo's ultra light stretch blazer
http://www.uniqlo.com/jp/store/goods/144238
There's a navy color in my area (i hope its still there). its 100% polyester mesh and designed for summer. No lining.

Zara's blazer with a contrast collar
http://www.zara.com/jp/en/sale/man/blazers/blazer-with-contrast-detailing-c541610p2473521.html
this one is more casual since there's detailing under the collar. It's probably intended for slightly milder weather since there's lining. its cotton with some polyester. its also twice as much as the uniqlo..but both are relatively cheap and intended for casual use

Welcome to the forum, rimpy. I would probably go with the navy Uniqlo.

I have a question :)
I live near Longview tx, so if anyone knows good places to go in the area, please let me know. On to my question!
I'm looking to build my first wardrobe that actually fits me properly and I am on a stricter budget. I've been reading tons of articles on how to get proper fit, but I'm still confused on something. Lately I've been looking into getting a nice blazer on ebay and I've been checking all the measurements... I fit into 46-48 short at the local stores (cheap stuff) but my chest measurement is actually about 50". all the actual chest measurements on the eBay listings for those sizes appear to be exactly what the chest size is. So my question is, should I be looking at jackets with at least 50 in the chest? Instead of the normal size I fit in at the department store? And should I leave a little extra in the chest? How much room do I need?

another question, as far as I can tell, my shoulders are about 19.5, and ask the jackets in my chest measurement seem to have 20.5-21.5 shoulder measurements... Do I just try to get as close as possible to 19.5?

Hello, I am seeking advice on how to wear business casual clothing without looking ridiculous.

What are several common, overlooked mistakes that we should avoid?

I will usually wear long-sleeved shirts, dark gray slacks and beige slacks. On hot days or at the end of the week I will switch it up with a tucked-in polo shirt and khaki pants.
