Two questions:

1. What the **** is Frankenstitching?

2. Why does the site now proclaim that I am a "renowned expert?"

1. What the **** is Frankenstitching?

"Frankenstitch" (as far as I know, a term coined at this forum here) indicates a reversed hand-stitch (executed from the underside) which just shows a row of dimples. Like the stiches on Frankenstein's monster where the various parts are stitched together.

Example: GazianoGirling style "Antibes"

2. Why does the site now proclaim that I am a "renowned expert?"

You've got enough thumbs-up votes ("reputations"), to qualify for this level.

Thanks. Both make sense, although in the second case I'd present heavy argument. As I recall, you are (at least closer to) an expert on a subject related to the forum than I am.

That would be more believable, though, were such a title bestowed, I'd consider it dubious as well. However, "on your way" is hard to argue with since just about everything is "on the way."
