Tricker’s have been ambiguous at worst in their marketing of the Corbett. I watched the video and I only noticed one short passage that makes a reference to modern hiking boots:Have you watched the video? That's exactly how they're being marketed.
A size 9 pair is 1.68kg.And how much do they weigh?
Tricker’s have been ambiguous at worst in their marketing of the Corbett. I watched the video and I only noticed one short passage that makes a reference to modern hiking boots:
”The Ledger made me wonder if we could still make a walking boot that would compete with modern mass production and made materials”
I see that more of a question than a claim that the boots are technically at the same level of performance. As long as you’re not wading through deep streams or snow drifts they’ll probably be good for most of your Hiking needs.
A size 9 pair is 1.68kg.
This release has clearly been divisive but Tricker’s should be commended for trying to do something new — I’d prefer seeing these over another Stow in a new leather/colour.
The edition is apparently limited to just 90 pairs – quite a few sizes are already sold out. The only thing that has stopped me acquiring a pair is the high price.
1.68kg the pair is v good. €800 is a lot.It was that, combined with the mountaineering style clips that in my view suggest them as technical hiking boots but it's all down to interpretation I guess. Either way I feel we've exhausted the Corbet chat.

Looking good Sole Boy.
Just trying a pair on at the Jermyn Street store. No purchase so, sadly, no full review in pipeline.Looking good Sole Boy.
I want a full review and some more pics (maybe lose the red carpet).
Good old Ronnie Corbett, don't think anyone else got that.Timothyyyyyyyyyy…
Probably a generational thing.Good old Ronnie Corbett, don't think anyone else got that.
The red carpet should of been a giveaway!Just trying a pair on at the Jermyn Street store. No purchase so, sadly, no full review in pipeline.
I think they are a good looking hiking boot, can say they were very comfortable, and held out well on the lovely red shop carpet.
Could be that they applied dubbin as they suggest for water resistance and that it made both midsole and stitching darker? The red carpet should of been a giveaway!
The toe-box looks really wide in the photos, how did you find the fit across the foot?
The other thing I notice is the mid-sole looks almost white (in some photos, maybe samples it looks much darker). Is that midsole the exposed EVA foam?
I'm guessing it's the lighting but the orange stitching looks a bit pale.

I think the photo I posted (taken from Tricker's X account) is of a sample/prototype boot and the mid-sole is leather - if the midsole is made from foam I'm not sure if dubbin would have any effect on the colour. I didn't notice the stitching was so dark but in a different photo from the same shoot it's definitely orange - other possibility is the stitching and midsole have absorbed moisture which has led to them darkening.Could be that they applied dubbin as they suggest for water resistance and that it made both midsole and stitching darker?
