The only thing worse is a justice system that accepts the excuses these twats make when they kill somebody, whether a pedistrian or rider..
- "I didn't see him..."
- "They came from out of nowhere..."
- "I couldn't stop in time..."
- "They were speeding..."
If a person hits a pedestrian, bicyclist, or a motorcyclist, the level of ineptitude and carelessness displayed should be enough to warrant automatic criminal charges, period. The burden of proof should be shifted to the driver to prove they were driving carefully and attentively..

When I was 16 I had to walk to school 2 miles uphill . . . both ways!
