Most ridiculous statement put forth in an argument

What are some of the most ridiculous statements you have personally heard someone put forth in an argument? I have two that really stand out:


1. That because men and women have a different number of ribs it provides evidence for biblical creation

2. The fact that costa rica doesn't have a standing army and gets by just fine is evidence that the US doesn't need one.
