I was an 8 6 4 for decades. Now the 8 has abandoned me so it's 2 2 2, shorter than it ever was when I was a skinhead!

Has anyone on here heard of the band Neat Change?
Here are a few pics that I've found, the only member that I've heard of is Jimmy Edwards, who formed a band with Rick Buckler from The Jam around 1982 called Time UK.

Think if you look at skinhead in 68. Uniform as such wasn’t there. And boots in particular ( anything went ).I’ve seen this pic before and may have it on a compilation somewhere. So it’s pretty clear to me as I’ve seen other bands like you mention the birds adopt braces etc back in 66. The proto-skin look was about even then.

Mostly discovered it from my mam in my teens and liked reggae from my dad when i was younger, strange mix haha.

Not as strange as you’d think. Budgie (The Banshees) and Daniel Ash (Bauhaus) have both talked about how much raggae influenced them.

Got this cool 60s flannel lined Levi's jacket. Wearing it with Levi's sta-prest cords.

Seem to remember them being lined in the 90s

Definitely not in East London and I'm sure word would have spread if they'd be around elsewhere in London. The first lined denim jacket I came across was a blanket lined Lee Stormrider and that was the late '70's in the USA.

The only lined Levi's jackets l have seen are the ones with the faux sheepskin, which always seem to be on sale. .
I did buy a wool G9 very recently in TKmaxx. We certainly didn't have them back in the day but it was a great price so l bought it
