Finally succumbed to getting the size S grey moleskin trousers from UM. I won't be able to pick them up until I'm back in the U.S. again, but I'm sure they're nice. Just hope they fit big like her other trousers.

They do. At least in the thigh, the waist is probably "normal", I think a Small is like a 30 waist. I bought 2 pairs in Large, and the thigh is super roomy.

The moleskin trouser is a tapered cut. MH describe them as a "Narrow Trouser" – but I don't find the fit overly narrow. The waist is TTS. My bM/34 is spot on, and there won't a huge amount of give on these although there is fabric in the back if you need to let them out. Great trousers, superb fabric.

And I thought Barneys had dropped the label!

Would anyone wear these with a cuff as shown above?

I cuffed my first pair like this. 1.25" cuff. I haven't hemmed the 2nd pair yet but am thinking of having them cropped.

I also cuff mine. I have them in small, which is a 33" waist.

Well that's not really a cuff in the Barneys photo, I would call it a roll-up.

A 1.5" tailored cuff would work. I have a pair of MH grey wool trousers which were finished with a cuff from new. Nice touch.

How difficult was that considering they taper so much?

My tailor didn't say anything to suggest it was difficult. Fwiw I only had 2" taken out of the length and the rest went into the cuff. Leg opening now is 7.2" from my measurement.

I'll have to try that. I rolled mine, and feared that it looked like I was wearing sweatpants.
