I've very recently acquired the workwear blazer from the current collection. Very pleased with it. Great design touches yet pretty hardcore minimalism. Taped seams inside. It does very much resemble a 'real-life' workwear item. Quite a boxy fit even in small but that's a good thing with this piece.

MH fits about as big as any designer I've worn. I size down 1 to 2 sizes on the shirts and jackets. Depends on your body type and how you like them to fit. I think if you have broad shoulders and size down 1, you'll stand a great chance of a nice fit. I have narrow shoulders, so I'm still swimming in some of the jackets unless I go down 2 sizes.

Knits seem to fit TTS, and trousers I size down 1.

I don't recommend sizng down in MH. Be aware that Margaret Howell's sizing varies quite a bit dependent on the style of the garment / or when the garment was made.

The Shirt Blazer is generous fitting - the SB3 and SB2 blazers are slimmer fitting. I wear a Large in the Shirt Blazer but have to size up 1 in the SB3 (X-Large). I generally buy Large in Shirts and Kintiwear. The french workwear jacket I posted a picture of above I had to size up to an XL.

Trousers are measured in S M L etc. and not wasit size. The size shown on the MH site are often wrong. I am a 34" waist and used to buy a medium in MH trousers, more recenlty having to buy a Large to get a 34.

I tried to see if there were any measurements for the green pea coat on MH archive but it's not shown.

The size Medium on eBay does have measurements, I would ask the seller to measure the shoulder width.

An archived Unionmade page shows their measurements for the M and L. There does not appear to be much difference between the two - I am afraid however. I am 5'10" and the first time I tried on a MH sport coat the salesperson had me try on a Medium ( I have broad shoulders). I thought he was crazy however it fit quite well. That is my only experience with MH - although I just bought a 50/50 SS cotton/cashmere sweater from Mr Porter which I took a large in. I am just worried that a L in the pea coat will be huge. Beautiful piece however - looks nice and classy

Agree sti1zkin - don't really like where this is going. High-waisted trousers and shawl collar jackets. The only interesting thing there for me is the fish-tail Parka, the denim pieces and maybe the odd knitwear / shirt.

I think there are a lot of very good, very wearable individual pieces (jackets, shorts, shirts), but really agree that the overall styling is bad/boring...

Yes some nice pieces in the mix, but the presentation does feel slightly off.
