That was good, but I was cracking up uncontrollably during his bit about the five-year-old not being good at anything and dragging everyone else down to her level.

I laughed out very loud at the intro when he gives his kid the finger... and then when his sister finally farts, realizing that entire build up, tension, and drama was simply an epic fart joke.

So I made a poor parenting choice last night. I let my daughters watch Louie with me. A few moments were awkward, but we survived. Anyhoo, when the woman first approached Louie and propositioned him, I (not thinking about my surroundings) let slip out "Why can't I meet women like that?" Immediately I clammed up and thought Well, that was totally inappropriate, but my fourteen-year-old daughter said without missing a beat "Because they're completely nuts."

I'm still chuckling about that.

this episode reminded me about the seinfeld episode where george asks Jerry not to be "too funny" and "tone it down" during a double date... jerry acts like a dark brooding malcontent and ends up attracting george's date with is new negative demeanor...

It seems like Louis CK really likes to throw a curveball after a fastball (just like last season) where he'll do a straight out funny extrapolation of his standup (episode 1)... then do a weird/poignant/super dark/subversive episode right after (episode 2).

I really like how NYC is becoming a major character in the show. Highline Park, LES, cramped depressing apartments and corner stores... every time I see carolines/comedy cellar I remember than I could actually just go there and watch a show on a whim if I wanted to - but they really capture the feel of the clubs like they are sacred comedy caves...

Is anyone else watching Jon Benjamin has a Van on Comedy Central? YMMV but I think it's hilarious. It's definitely the strangest thing on prime time tv right now. Reminds me a little of some of the British cult tv shows or even a less frenetic version of the live action Adult Swim shows.

That train wreck of a booty call was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV.

I've watched the past couple of shows and maybe chuckled once. But I'm sure it'll get plenty of laughs on dvd after it's cancelled.

Yea. The Jon Benjamin show blows. I watched the first 3 episodes. Comedy Central seems to have a new comedian show like this get cancelled every few months. I actually liked the Nick Swardson show that lasted a season. I used to not like that guy very much from some movies but i really enjoyed some of the bits from his show
