Those of you who recently purchased Men's Ex High End Shoes may be interested to learn that volume 4 of "Last" published by Esquire Japan is on store shelves.

Men's Ex is a sumptuous picture book. Last is more of an essay book on the shoe.

Last has interviews with prominent Japanese men of fashion in which they reminisce about the shoes they cannot forget.

It also profiles well known (and not so well known) Japanese makers such as Guild of Crafts, Ethos Club, Works on the Knees, Spigola, Kokon, Otsuka, and Yoshinoya.

To be sure, there are photos in this volume, but they are less focussed on the finished products, and more focussed on candid shots from the workshops of the various makers.

There is also 4-5 page profile of Benjamin Klenmann.

Finally, this volume does not limit itself to high end bespoke shoes.  There are also photos of boots by Alfredo Bannister, Clone, Meermin, Silvano Mazza, and others.

Bic, thanks for the tip. Could you post the ISBN number? It would greatly facilitate ordering from amazon.co.jp.
