2 of them do, although nepenthes' program isn't exactly blue cross/blue shield, and j. crew's is decent.

Oh, glad to hear j. crew does something about that. But that's the problem with many minimum wage jobs.

Does anyone own the Legacy navy blazer (either the older cut or the new Ludlow cut)? I'm curious what the quality is like. This is a huge hole in my wardrobe but it's an essential piece and I want to get a very good quality one. I've been stalking the RLPL blazers that turn up in B&S from time to time but never pulled the trigger, and am wondering if I just shouldn't go with j.crew.

I don't. In fact, I don't own a blue blazer at all. Doesn't feel essential to my wardrobe.

it usually works out like this.
500 to 650 for rent each month.
150 on food
100 or so on gas
then the remainder gets saved for other bills like insurance, cell phone, school books, car registration, sometimes car payments, some gets taken out for health care.

so really you end up with about 100 bucks or so to use as luxury money such as movies, beer, or clothing.

so yes most SAs only have one job and it really shows how messed up the minimum wage is in this country, becasue really you can hardly live off 10 bucks an hour let alone 8 in California.

when I was a student, I worked for the school, and got less than 1.5...

I ordered, and ended up returning, the 3 button blazer that cropped up on sale from time to time on the website. I think it was last season's. It was just very uninspiring.

Maybe the current season's is better. It sucks that most stores except the huge ones like the NYC ones don't have the tailored wear to try on.

I ended up getting a Rugby blazer. THey are very slim, and the price was doable during the recent 25% off sale.

The holy grail, of course, would be the $1000 Black Fleece blazer. But even at 30% off...

I tried on the brown washed cord jacket in the store this weekend. It fit nicely but looked very blah. The hunters jacket on the other hand was more interesting.

most corporate retailers have pretty good benefits for full-time workers, uo had blue cross/blue shield. granted, i never took advantage of that in the 2+ years i spent working for them, as i was still a dependent.

Neither did I. Nor did I see the vintage fatigue pants in the other color (khaki not olive drab). Was ready to grab those.

Maybe the store will roll these things out later? Mgr mentioned to me there would be another winter rollout in the store the first part of November.

Hows the cable knit sweater? I've been pondering that one for awhile, but I've been underwhelmed with the quality and fit on the cotton/cashmere and merino sweaters I've seen in stores.
