Reviews are leaking out. Universal drawback seems to be the ****** cameras. Universal advantages are new lighter weight and super speed.

Given the camera deficit, I'm definitely waiting for Rev.3.

i'm pretty sure your cell phone, no matter what you have, is better. why not just use that. don't you have a canon s95 too?

Why would you care about the camera in an iPad?
If you were planning to use that as your point-and-shoot you'd look like Ansel Adams lugging that thing out and asking people to hold still while you set up.

^LOL I could give a **** about the camera. But the fact is, they shortchanged the quality there and the screen. Plus, it turns out now that the A5 processor isn't really new but just two A4's together. I have absolutely no need for this thing right now so it would have to bowl me over for me to want to buy one. I don't think I'll be at that point until Rev. 3 comes out.

Did you get the Apple email today that basically wants you to wait in line to get one at 5Pm on the 11th.

These guys are masters at creating demand and hype. Good products but amazing design and marketing.

Back-facing camera on a tablet is kind of stupid. On the other hand, it's nice to have the orientation lock back on the switch with the 4.3 update.

We think the A5 is likely not built around Cortex A9 cores, but instead probably uses two the same custom low-power A8 cores used in the A4. If Apple had indeed used two Cortex A9-based cores, raw performance should be more than double that of a single core A8-based design.

Someone posted a benchmark from Endgadget or some site showing that thanks to 4.3 the iPad 1 is almost as fast as the iPad 2, if you discount graphics processing. Apparently a lot of the performance gain is due to revisions of iOS rather than the new chip.
