Not sure I'll get the ipad 2 yet - I may just wait until the next version to upgrade. But don't bother waiting in line. I strolled in on the afternoon the 3G went on sale and was in and out in five minutes. Waiting is for suckers.

Those look like a purse. Not a fan. I have an m-edge case that was a gift and while it's nice, I prefer to not use a case--it just makes it bulkier and heavier.

+1 Do you really want to be one of the sheep who buys into their marketing hype and wastes hours trying to complete a transaction that could be completed in minutes a few days later? It is not like these are a limited edition that will sell out and never be seen again. bdeuce is right on the target move...there is going to be an intentionally engineered line out the door of every apple store to make it look "cool" but other retailers will probably be pretty clear.

I think adults waiting in line to buy an Apple product on launch day is pathetic. If you really want something on day one (or soon after) just order it from Apple's site (or another online retailer that offers it).

don't bother in the morning. they aren't selling anywhere until 5pm.

Seriously, it seems like iPads are the new big thing in event raffles. At one conference they were raffling off 5 iPads to only 52 potential winners. Go to a few of those and your odds start looking pretty good...

Another opportunity coming up next week. Hopefully I'll finally win one and will have something to play with on the plane ride home.

I've seen them in arcade crane machines. Dropped about $30 on it one time. $1 a try. Could've been a helluva ROI

+1, I always try to enter these draws. The iPad isn't something I NEED to spend money on, but it'd be cool to have if I won one.
