i visited chicago two weeks ago.... i was driving through a suburb outside of it (bolingbrook) and found this place called Andy's... that serves "frozen custard".
I have to admit that I actually ******* drove out to bollingbrook 4 times (out of the whole week I was in Chicago) to eat this Devils Made concoction. in fairness i had some meetings near the area, but i was thinking about that ice cream, sorry frozen custard, whenever in the area.
I've had some great ice cream around the North East (Mad Martha's - Martha's Vineyard) and here in NYC, but **** I can't seriously explain how good the frozen custard from Andy's is.
I had a lot (and gained 5lbs from all the Chicago Food) of the different flavors its the simple chocolate that i liked the best.
of all the great chicago food i ate during that week i was there (the pizza, hotdogs, even soul food)... this is my fondest of memories.
is there any good frozen custard places in the NYC area?
