I've been putting on some weight the past 2 months and now up about 4.5 lbs/2 kgs to about 174lbs. I tried a maxout session on my C&J and hit 240lbs pretty easily on Saturday. Goal for C&J is 245lbs by August and 255lbs by EOY.

My snatch is still too weak but I'm hoping to get 175lbs in August and 185lbs in December

3.1 miles after lunch. I’m not 100% yet, after the bout with COVID, but it felt good to stretch the legs. If it wasn’t for that pesky trail race on the 18th, I’d probably switch to cycling right now…

25 miles this afternoon/evening. For the first third of the ride, we had someone who was slower than I am, so I was not last up all of the hills. After he bailed, I was most definitely last to the tops, but I was among the first to the bottoms. There are some advantages to being a bit fat and a bit stupid. :)

SB always has great biking views. I do not recall many when I used to ride in Ohio but it has been almost 10yrs now.

My normal 7.3 miler last night. Not nearly as humid but that'll change this afternoon.
It's the reward for all these f***ing hills I have to climb!

I'm in Paris and was supposed to be running the Adidas Paris 10k today (it's actually the middle of the night and I can't sleep). However, when trying to collect my race number, I discovered that I couldn't run because I didn't have a medical certificate that I should have submitted a month ago. This wasn't in the information when I originally registered, but apparently was in some small print in an e-mail sent later. I've run races all over the world and I have never come across one that requires a medical certfiicate (nothing to do with COVID, this is a 'running for competition' medical certificate). The normal situation is that you tick a simple legal disclaimer. Anyway, I'm not really in the shape I would want to be to do justice to this event so no big deal, it was just a surprise.
