5.5 miles this morning. It was 14º Fahrenheit when I stepped off to start my run (12º when I finished). I had so many layers on that it was pretty slow going until I got used to the extra bulkiness. It was so cold that my little LED headlamp's battery was nearly drained about 3 blocks from my house.

The Sugoi 220 or 180 firewall jacket and only a t-shirt would eliminate all the layering. Runners Warehouse allows you to order and test items w/ returns in 90 days for full refund. Might be worth testing the Sugoi jacket. They are a great online company for running supplies and their return policy is real. They do have a disclaimer if you return things too often or overused alot, they may not accept the return. I've never had a problem w/ them.

haha yeah Sam, eat whatever you want. When you burn the furnace hot enough, it doesnt matter what the fuel is, to paraphrase Once A Runner.

10.5 @ 7:30 for me today.

10 miles this wintery afternoon including a nice segment through the Cranbrook school. Even when it's 20º out, it's stil absolutely gorgeous running through the campus and the woods and around the lakes.
