Not cheap, but y'all see the new Camp Chef Apex line?

With the full gas kit, you basically have a propane grill, pellet smoker, and side-burner all in one unit.

I've seen hybrid units before, but always from crappy companies (like the whole package ends up costing less than a basic pellet grill from a good brand).

Went to a bbq spot. About a block away i could tell we are close. Brisket was excellent pulled pork was very good rib tips were fine but don't need to order again. Loved the collards just porky enough. Chili was phenomenal. Next time getting the wings and their smoked burger.

This am's breakfast tacos were wow

Just ground up that choice ribeye subprimal with trimmings from my brisket a few weeks ago. Tonight shall be smash burgers on the inferno grill. Super juice, very thin, and so crispy. Pretty much heaven on a bun (TWSS!)

Life pro tip: Don’t pay $65 for a brand new empty propane tank at Costco.

Grab an old tank from the pile of discarded/rotten tanks at the dump and go exchange it at the Home Depot for a clean, certified, (mostly) full tank for $20.

It’s not even cheating, they explicitly say they exchange all tanks, even if they are rusty or past their certification date.

Weird. I always find a free one in my neighbor's grill.

And I should note that the sausages were frozen in vac bags, so I cooked them sous vide to 150F. They were only on the flat top to brown.

If they were thawed but uncooked, I would have roasted them in the pellet grill to dry out the casings more and give them a touch of smoke…but the sous vide is super convenient, just popped it in the bath and went for a bike ride.

Honestly its even easier and cheaper to just go to ace and have them refill it. And best of all you know you are getting a full tank when you watch them weigh it.

Not when you don’t already have a tank…this is a hack to get a clean, safe tank. Can’t fill a tank if you don’t already have one (and don’t really want to trust a sketchy junk yard tank).

Otherwise yeah, fill it. The exchange places only fill them 75% full. Costco will fill to 100% and it costs less than an exchange.
Is that the recipe from Charcuterie?
Yes
