This is my first WAYWRN post. Technically yesterday though. My girlfriend invited me to her friend's wedding, and since my weight has fluctuated over the years, I didn't have anything to wear. I put this together about a week before the wedding (with help from the Styleforum community). The fit may not be ideal, but until I lose some weight, it should make do.
Really like this. Such a nice jacket.
This. But in my personal situation, having imbibed of said kool-aid, I'm highly non-conformist in my native environment. By conforming even only in part to the standards here, I look different to every other person I see on a given day. There are over a million inhabitants in my city, and nobody I've ever come across here, whether friend, colleague, acquaintance, stranger or foe, dresses remotely like me.I think SplurgeFrugal's outfits are well put together overall. He has a style he likes and he owns it. Too many posters have drank the Styleforum kool-aid and are unable to see anything else as acceptable.
I would hate to live in a world where everyone conforms. Oh the horror.
I laughed out loud to your reference to infantile shoes. I like your infantile shoes and I think you've put them to good use. I own one such pair myself, but in calf. Regretfully, I do feel infantile when I try to wear them, and so they rarely see the light of day. So it is, I feel infantile shoes can look good on others, but I don't like them on my own feet. I wish I did, as my pair of infantile shoes weren't exactly cheap.Hours too late for the challenge. Sorry for the infantile shoes
