New jacket - a 50L instead of a 48L. It took a hell of a lot more tailoring, and at significantly higher cost, but I'm pretty happy with the result.

Thanks, but could you spoiler - or better yet delete - the images you quoted in your post? No one wants to see my horrible attempts at photoshoppery.

Bad photo, but it is what it is. I'm pretty happy with the new jacket, although I'm less happy with the way my shirt cuff keeps getting caught on it.

Andy - got to say, been admiring your outfits for quite some time. You really "DGAF," and it is fun to see good tailoring done in more traditional fabrics. You pull it off, and you pull it off well. Kudos.

All quiet on the Manhattan Beach Pier.......

......although a week from today there may be people jumping from the pier.

Brooks Brothers brown herringbone tweed suit I got at the Brooks Brothers store on the corner of Post and Grant in San Francisco in the fall of 1965. It is a three piece suit, but I didn't wear the vest today because it wasn't cold enough. The trousers are now too long since over the years my discs have degenerated and I am getting shorter and shorter, Brooks Brothers tie, generic pocket square, Stafford olive and white striped OCBD shirt, Trafalgar alligator belt, and Allen-Edmonds brown grain KIowas.

A piece of a person (and a piece of the sea and the shore) picture......

.....the suit is similar to the suit AAS recently posted. I will post a picture wearing the vest if Winter ever comes this year.

The tie, like many striped ties sold in the United States is made from British regimental tie material, but with the tie cut upside down.

Some members in the UK might recognize it as an upside down Intelligence Corps tie. As upside down intelligence is ignorance, I call it my Ignorance Corps tie.
