Wore this on Sunday.

I like the hat, the tie and the shape of the suit. I don't like the pattern of the suit. I don't think it goes well with that tie. You might want to try cropping your photos so we can get a closer look at your outfit.

@Sander with your body shape described as a T, do you find it difficult to find shirts that fit you off the rack? Or do you go the MTM route?

Yes, MTM or bespoke all the way. Last time I wore a RTW shirt was... seven years ago, I think. Did I also mention my monkey arms?

Nice to see you at home, Cleav. On which page of The Dukes of Britain do we find your portrait?

It is indeed home from home as the Hall is in the grounds of the Golf Club. Many a happy day spent....

@upr_crust: good fit, but I'm not a fan of the striped tie with such a formal (peak lapel, one button) suit. Burgundy printed would have been my choice, or burgundy grenadine. Your shoe selection narrows the tie selection somewhat, if it had been a very dark brown, a brown tie would have been awesome.

Your aesthetic is a more rigorously structured one than mine, certainly, but thank you for your insights. I fear that I am much more of an accidental collagist in my attire than are you. I had not considered the form of today's suit in terms of formality, and its fabrication belies the formality that you ascribe it (color and pattern). I selected today's tie on the basis of its color and pattern in relation to the suit and the shirt, not in terms of its relative formality. When next I wear this suit, however, I will try your suggestions of burgundy or brown tie and dark brown shoes, though I must confess a less-than-overwhelming affection for brown ties - my personal preference.

You look very much at home on the grounds, with that architecture as a background. Now, just to work on the aristocratic lineage . . . :).

True enough I do actually feel at home here, I may pop in for a snifter later....

Regarding the aristocratic lineage I have of course the 'Duchess' and I am not looking to trade her in for a new model. So, I may have to rely on the Flower Garden to marry into the landed gentry but then whatever makes them happy is most important :nodding:
