Very cool, as always. Have you ever talked about what you do for a living? I'm wondering because my impression was that this is pretty formal for the US. But I like to think that your job involves a lot of ass-kicking, like police commissioner or so.

When do hats get too large objectively, then? Your argument radiates a belief no hat is too large. I don't believe top hats are too large. You get different heights of top hat, too, and it would be suggestible to a smaller person, to wear a shorter top hat. It has nothing to do with society favouring shorter hats right now. It is always fundamentally about proportion, beauty and balance. I understand why you wouldn't want to go over this argument again and again, as you just like that oversized aesthetic, and that's OK on a subjective level, but I'll always stand by the objective proportion argument. I, also, gather you believe I am just plain wrong about it being oversized. Let's agree to disagree.
I understand your point of when is big is too big. There have been hats I have posted in past years that I will gladly admit as to being too big. With that said. You are a gentleman, and I will be happy to agree to disagree.

DonC, I wish you'd give up on the chinos. They almost never work with the jackets you wear. In this case, they are too rumply, too short, and too light.

That is a linen trouser and therefore the creases are quite normal. With the lenght you are absolute right, this trousers was the last one I give to the tailor without washing once.
Which trousers colors you prefer for the summer?

I disagree with SB, I think the trouser color is great with that SC.
