I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the pants! Not too many comments yet, but it's Sunday night. The wolves will come out tomorrow, no doubt. I feel his pain.

He has been grilled several times already, so I guess people are tired of it.

I love the fit of the jacket and shirt, and the look of the whole ensemble in general... but I am ambivalent concerning the pants. To be sure, they are an excellent color and pattern, and complement the shirt and jacket perfectly, but it's hard to tell how they actually fit. Maybe more pictures would help.

Regardless, I'm impressed

. Stylish, but not gay. Classic in a way, but not petrified.

no
the difference is he posts his pictures here for feedback and advice...
not to get all defensive about wearing something like the ugly double buttoned double collared shirts which gets criticized

i also have kenneth cole and aldo square toe shoes
now what?

see once again, the difference is... i'm willing to learn and improve myself
i'm not going to defend my gucci watch or square toe shoes because i recognize that they are terrible pre-SF purchases
which is not to say i blindly follow everything found on SF
i am figuring out what works for me

Thanks to those who have tried...I think either the FB page is playing up, or maybe you need to 'like' the page to vote, this seems a bit much just to vote for a pic...bloody face book!

voting now appears to be turned on, now go vote for this beardy weird-o in the hat!

In response to one of our newer members for a fit with "more panache", today's attire. Whether it qualifies or not is all in the eyes of the beholders - in the interim, I like it.

Suit - BB MTM
Shirt - Lewin
Tie - Burberry
Cufflinks - no name
PS - no name
Shoes - AE Sevens
Overcoat - BB
Hat - Selentino
Scarf - Fortnum & Mason

Soliciting Opinions:

Color-wise, with your hair color, the black frames look better, though the black-fade-to-clear is too retro-geek-chic for my taste. With both sets of frames, I am not sure that they are the best fit to complement your face - the frames seem to be a shade heavy for your features, and the shape of the lenses isn't optimal for your face, either, but that could be just me.

Not a slam, just an honest opinion, Most Acerbic of Ovines.
