Gents, can you help? "My friend" has been seeing a nice lady. Had several lunches, met for coffee, dinner, etc. Some kissing has occured. Now the nice lady has invited my friend for a home-cooked dinner Saturday evening, to be followed by Alfred Hitchcock movie viewing. Nice lady lives in a small town about 35 minutes from my friend.
Friend has grown fond of nice lady; nice lady apparently has also grown fond of my friend. Friend has an inkling that come Saturday, following dinner and movie, that the hour (and perhaps consumption of wine) will require said friend to spend the night at nice lady's house. Friend also has come to conclusion that spending the night will not be a solitary experience. BTW, my friend is back in the dating world after a nearly-thirty year detour through a failed marriage.
Question: should my friend pack a bag with just the essentials: toothbrush, clean under garments, perhaps shaving regalia? Of course, my friend would leave said bag stashed in his Benz, only to be revealed when circumstances dictate?
Or does the existence of said bag, once revealed, paint my friend as lecherous old fool who arrived at nice lady's house intending to spend the night in a non-solitary fashion? Obviously, if the nice lady sends my friend home at the conclusion of Vertigo, the bag remains a secret.
Discuss.
