Thanks for your answer. I bought two pairs of the website so assume they are in stock but ordered last Monday and no news yet. We'll see, I hope the website is uptodate and when you select the basic model that is offered they are indeed in stock, otherwise I just would have done MTO.

You can also give them a call and ask will get feed back faster.

In stock is not always in stock. Notice how no size is ever out of stock, that is not possible.

By 'right away' I mean that you won't have to wait a month or so, hopefully. MTO would cost you extra - $250? 250gbp? - don't recall off hand, but there's no point if you're happy with the ready made options.

My two pairs arrived. They are gorgeous. Especially the St James II, the cherry color is beautiful. Love the last of the Hilton as well, and thought the vintage rioja would be a bit more wow but they are beautiful nonetheless.

They do feel a bit tight compared to my C&J in 11, and I probably should have gone for 11.5 instead. I know they will open a bit so maybe it will do it, I hope so. But they do feel a bit tight.

One newbie question, the thong is sewed to the shoe on the internal side (on the right for my left shoe and vice-versa). Does it have to stay like that or do you have to "detach" it ? Because I assume it would give me a bit more room if it was not sewed together, my other oxford pairs (not GG) were not sewed so I was a bit suprised.

Yes that is meant to be like that so don’t cut it off. All high end shoes & boot come like that.
