Clags, EFV and Thin White Duke. Duke would be my clear fave if only he'd worn a white belt instead of the blue. Brilliant interpretation, esp. given how few of us on SF would actually have the items in those colours to do it so well. EFV is really great but overall, I prefer the vibe Clags got going there.

Stitchy's entry is definitely the most fun one, but EFV's is just too good to not win

Agree . EFV's is a great interpretation of an artwork, while Stitchy's fit is a parody. Fun, but not in the same class as EFV or GMMcL, IMO.

Wow, looks like me and Stitchy may have to co-host the next FC. :D

It's been the awesomeness of EFV's fit vs the love of Kramer and Stitchy as Kramer all the way.

For me, Stitchy's Banksy fit also played a part when I cast my votes.

The poll question was, "who best captured the essence of the artwork?" While Clags, GMMcL and EFV all went close with their colours and textures, they made no real reference to the meaning of the artwork. Others simply imitated a pose or a mode of dress, which even when well-executed (and in Stitchy's Banksy entry, incredibly well-executed), did not really match the brief for me.

Thin White Duke's entry OTOH absolutely nailed the stark simplicity and rigour of the Mondrian to which it referred. I could look at his fit and actually think "Oh, that looks like a Mondrian canvas!" He got my only vote.

And just to rub it in.

Stitch was afraid this would get all pretentious.

And the winning entry involved a portrait of Kramer.

Christmas in July? Fit has to incorporate red and green?

Jewish in July? Only circumcised members can participate?

I still think we should do a challenge where you have to wear the same item twice within a given period, and the point is to do two very diverse, successful fits. But I will be sidelined for a couple weeks most likely, so ....

Edit: Holy, wow! Just saw the poll results! Thanks for the voats, dudes!

Linen jacket / suit challenge perhaps? Bonus points for linen shirts and ties. Feel free to exclude / prohibit linen blends that mess with religious sensibilities.

Edit - Count me in as also supporting @GMMcL's idea.
