Someone, I think it might have been in stitches, ran a challenge a few years back which was essentially a “Give Us Your Best Shot” (my description, not his) challenge which simply asked entrants to put together their absolute favorite fit from their current wardrobe. No other restrictions except, I think, that it had to be CM.

Unsurprisingly, given the number of well-dressed people here, it resulted in some interesting stuff, and also quite a bit of participation.

Just a thought.

Cheers,

Ac

Anything which boosts participation is find with me. So something simple? conservative business dress challenge or the like. The red tie. Etc

Congratulations to Acute and Clags, well deserved!

I would consider to also let the next challenge be extended. Clearly quite a few people who are vacationing at the moment and are putting other things before SF.

Strange, but probably healthy.

Congratz to both of you! What about a daltonism challenge: patterns are ok, everything should fit perfectly, but, uh, the colors ??

Congrats both! Interesting SW&D challenge at the moment (although they seem to be struggling in defining the rules) requiring the wearing of a fit that does not comprise any of your current top-level pieces - a step down, previous level kind of challenge.

The problem of simply postponing is that the challenge thread will quickly disappear, hence me suggesting we hold off a few weeks.

Regardless, here are some thoughts:

Knit tie challenge
Top block challenge (ahem)
conservative business dress challenge
Gray suit, no blue tie challenge
Linen challenge (we had one around this time last year)
Lifestyle challenge (@upr_crust)

Moi? Having a "lifestyle"? Not today, at least - a home in khakis and a polo shirt, waiting for the A/C repairman. Did have something of a "lifestyle event" last night - dinner with Mr. Claymore, he resplendent in a grey, bold stripe three-piece double-breasted suit, but, alas, we were too busy talking to have a non-selfie "selfie" taken.
