I kind of feel the same way, but that backwards, under-the-legs shot was nothing short of heroic, and made me almost not hate the guy.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say "he embodies all that is hateable about the tennis establishment," probably because I don't really even know what it means, but I agree that I can't stand Federer.

He is such a cocky, cocky prick, and I love rooting against him.

Still, even I can admit that the guy is a ******* tennis genius. He is incredible to watch. His mental fortitude is so strong.

He was uncharacteristically pissy last night though. He did a lot of complaining and whining to the umpire, more than I thought was his usual. Add in that del Potro kept breaking him (thanks in part to the fact that his serve, usually the best on tour, completely failed him last night) and he kept failing to break Del Potro, I think in the end he just lost his edge. Has anyone ever broken him as many times in a match of late?

DP's forehand is the craziest, most wicked shot I've ever seen. Roger's angled forehand is amazing, too, but DP's ball just got through the court so damned fast, and so flat, on that surface it just didn't bounce either. Scary.

Exciting match, too. Great drama.
