A previous boss of mine from 2000-2002 and his girlfriend at the time, now wife, became good friends of mine, I was a groomsman at their wedding. They are having a 20th wedding anniversary soiree combined with a 50th birthday for one of them (same date within a day or so), it's going to be a cocktail party at the same venue they were married at. I'm attending the event which will be 1000km away, will be great to catch up with them both.
What in tarnation can I bring them as a gift? They run a health club, are into skiing, 4WDing, boating etc but I can't really think of anything that will enhance their lives in these areas! My budget is probably gonna be limited to a couple of hundred max, and it's not about the dollar value, they probably don't want anything from anyone but I'm not gonna show up empty handed (the venue is semi-swish so I know how this all works)
They are quite successful in business without being ultra wealthy, I don't think they want for much. I'm guessing a gift that is more a representation of a long standing friendship rather than some item that may never get used.
A coffee table book of some kind? A framed print/photograph perhaps? I'm clueless at gifts..
