He got *****hurt like he used to only do with Nadal. His serve was atrocious. His forehands lacked any pace or penetration.

"Del Pocho" was beastly on that forehand.

There was an article in Tennis Magazine two years ago profiling up and coming players and it said DelPotro was great off the ground, but had a pretty weak serve, especially given his height. The last year and a half he has really beefed up his serve where it not only sets up his forehand he's getting free points off of it. He had a big run coming into the Open last year and made it two the quarters and his only loss this year was in Montreal in a long 3 set match to Murray where it appeared he ran out of gas (the night before he beat Roddick in a long 3 set match so there wasn't much time between the matches. Given that I'm not surprised by his results. Also his match yesterday was the early match and he clocked Rafa, where as Federer even though he won in straight sets against Djokovic...they were all close sets.

Strange reply for someone who has over 9,000 posts on a mens style board.
