Just trying to get some input regarding the LBM 1911; I've never tried one on and I'm hesitant to pick one up since I won't be able to return/exchange it.

For guys that are in between sizes; would you recommend sizing up or down?

I wear a 37R in EP x Southwick, and a 46EU/36US in LBM 1911 and EP's Luigi Bianchi Mantova fit.

Alden x Epaulet Indys

1000

Those Indys look fantastic! I just received the Innsbruck Indy, and I can't wait to wear this boot! It's exactly what I need for fall and winter casual days. I love the brass eyelets and hooks. Awesome design Mike!

Boring fit, but I just wanted to share my love of these Rivets. First pair, but many more to come.

While I like all your individual pieces, you should consider a more casual shoe with that outfit.

I'd check the measurements against a good fitting jacket before pulling the trigger. I'm typically a 36S. I have LBMs in 44EU (wool) & 46EU (washed denim). The 44 is a bit tight in the chest and I'm pretty skinny. It's not bad, but I'd probably stick with a 46 for my future LBM purchases. I hope this helps.

In my experience, Epaulet's Weller in a 40 is slimmer in the body and shorter in the arms / body than my LBM 1911 spearmint chinolino in 50/40. At least for me it's not enough of a difference to warrant sizing down.

Edited to add the "not" above; that was a bad word to leave out.

My shoulders are somewhat broad and I'm 6' tall so I may be able to get away with the 42. Thanks for the help gentlemen.

I received the mocha Doyle today...love the color. I was a little concerned about fit, but my usual sport coat size is perfect with room to spare when buttoned...not that I've had issues before with some EP styles

I got my French blue Doyle and snuff suede Tennis shoes today. Shoes are spot on (the 9 was perfect as you suggested Mike!). The Doyle is ever so slightly roomy but I think one size down would not have worked. Should be nice with a sweater underneath.

There doesn't seem to be any consensus in the shoe care threads, so I figured I'd ask Mike and go with whatever he says:

Renovateur or Sahphir cordovan polish for occasional shell maintenance?
