Anyone want to purchase the size 40 Sinclair herringbone jacket from me before I send it back to Epaulet?
Can't believe it's come to this, but oh well! Over the last two years and change I've spent at least $3K at Epaulet and was a regular back when they had their NYC location. I know this doesn't make me a VIP or anything but I certainly meet the standard of a regular customer worth holding onto. I recently emailed them for the measurements on a suit I purchased late last year and Adele asked if I might be interested in buying a new one. I passed and mentioned feeling a bit down on the brand's quality after a pair of the brand's ghost suede sport trainers practically fell apart on me after about two years of *at most* moderate seasonal wear (Living in NYC means sneakers go in the closet for a good chunk of any given year). And by fell apart I mean the suede literally separated from the rubber sole, thus making them totally unwearable. I was fitted in-store for the trainers by Michael who casually mentioned they would easily outlast my pair of CP Achilles, which are currently wonderfully broken-in and have already outlasted said trainers despite being nearly a year older than them. Hell, my running shoes and weight lifting Converse cost less combined than the trainers and are on 4 years of use.
I will now note that I made no demands of any sort in my email, I merely expressed disappointment with what I believe can only be described as a defect in the manufacturing of a product that the company advertises as being made to the highest of standards. Adele never responded even though, prior to me raising the issue, she responded to my questions in less than 24 hours. Thinking that perhaps my email got missed somehow, I sent another politely worded email on November 9th that received no response and another brief email on the 13th that again received no response. I'll repeat that I asked for nothing and never used anything that could be described as offensive language. My last email was both the briefest and most sharply worded of the lot and merely stated, "Way to stand behind your products. I honestly can't believe you have the audacity to sell a $225 sneaker and then ignore a customer when said sneaker falls apart due to shoddy manufacturing."
This is the only issue I've ever raised with Epaulet concerning a purchase and it will be the last given that their first move when dealing with a loyal customer's complaint is to ignore them. I suggest all of you tread carefully in your future dealings with Epaulet and pray you never have an issue with a product. I didn't ask for a thing from them and still got shown a long back.
Boardroomsocks.com is another source I've recently ordered from. I like trying new socks and these are of good quality.Huge recent fan of Dapper Classics OTC socks. Pricey but they fit amazingly well and do not ever slide down my hairy guinea calves. Excellent quality. Buy one pair, review it, and then use the 20% off coupon for a second, larger order, if so inclined.
@clee1982 not officially, but we can do a few of them for a $25 upcharge per trouser.
Really like your space there.
