Any tips! I have a cotton solaro suit and it came back from the cleaners SHRUNK. Pants are about an inch and a quarter shorter than they were when I dropped it off Not to mention skin tight. I can’t really get any money back because it’s been like two months since I took it in I haven’t gotten back to it in my rotation till today. Anyone have any tips on UN-Shrinking a suit.

What would’ve been the correct way to clean it?

Did they maker tell you not to dry clean it?

I would absolutley still go to the cleaner and complain. There's no two month statute of limitations on bad dry cleaning. IDK if you'll get compensated, dry cleaners don't always own up to their mistakes, but you can at least vent a bit.

Two months is a long time to be seeking recompense for this, I'm afraid. Not that it matters from a strictly chronological "statute" perspective, but it's just too easy for the cleaner to have amnesia about this particular garment.

I don't think returning simply to blow hot air and be a dickhead will accomplish much, unless behaving that way makes you feel like you have power in life. If the suit is ruined for all intents and purposes, you don't have much to lose trying to "unshrink" it if the alternative is the donation bin. Cotton will be more forgiving than worsted wool for the various home remedies that are supposed to relax clothing fibers that have shrunk.

I once shrunk a linen shirt in the dryer beyond the point of comfortable wear, and did manage to "fix" it somewhat by soaking it in hot water and baby shampoo, then stretching it out on a towel by hand and letting it dry. I don't know if you want to be this aggressive with a suit, but again, you've got nothing to lose.
