Hi all,

After too long, we have made Drinkwaters an official affiliate of Styleforum. Gary Drinkwater was one of the original stockists of Engineered Garments in the USA, and instrumental in introducing the brand to me and to this forum way back in FW03. He was also critical in getting Styleforum's first collaboration, a special Engineered Garments for Styleforum quick release belt in two special colors (henna and black-blue), underway. He has some great stories about Engineered Garments and Daiki, whom he has been friends with for decades now.

In addition to stocking a lot of Engineered Garments, Gary stocks lots of domestic brands and select imported brands. If you want a real Ivy look, you don't get more genuine than Gary's selection (a lot of his clients are faculty from the neighbourhood school - Harvard University.)

I am happy to officially welcome Gary to the forum.

Cheers,

Fok.
Gary is great. He knows clothes. He knows his customers. He gets the difference between style and fashion. He features great brands great quality at reasonable prices. He will tell you “that doesn’t flatter you” or “you’ve got something similar to that you don’t need another one like it.” In other words you can trust him because he’s honest and he cares about his customers.

We're getting some cool mornings here in New England and I've seen some tinting of the leaves and squirrels rummaging. Sure indicator of Fall in the air! So, we thought it appropriate to list our Engineered Garments buy for FW 19. Theses articles will not be in store until the end of September but we will gladly take your pre order upon request. Knitwear from the United Kingdom has always been part of my wardrobe with Mom being a Londoner and her insistence to knit us our jumpers and socks. Outside of her handmade knitwear, I've always been fond of Fairisle and Shetland sweaters. This season from Harley of Scotland we offer this Fairisle vest plus a few shaggy crew necks and a Donegal crew neck.
Our offering of Scott & Nichols Fairisle socks are also a favorite at Drinkwater's.

We are so very thankful for you, our community, for your
unwavering support and for all of your thoughtful and
touching messages, as we all chart a new course during this unsettling time.

We have shut down operations in accordance with the
governor's mandate. For the foreseeable future, this means
that we will schedule private appointments or alteration
pickups for emergencies only—please call to make an
appointment 617.547.2067 and one of us will meet you at the store.

Along with other small businesses, we ask that you continue to shop locally instead of online or big box stores. Call or email them to see if you can buy gift certificates online to have on-hand for future purchases—birthdays, anniversaries, holidays will thankfully go on as scheduled. In the meantime, we are all trying to survive to be here and serve you when this crisis is over.
We look forward to seeing you in the very near future when
this is all behind us; in the meantime take good care of
yourselves.
Sincerely,
Gary, Teresa, Steven, Gus
