Maybe 1/2 inch shorter-- but be careful.

Otherwise it looks very nice. If it is comfortable to wear, why not bite?

agree with Alex-- jacket would look better a bit shorter; that's one of the reason i avoided DB for so long, jackets seemed to be cut longer in a lot of brands.

I haven't tried OTR DBs, but assuming it's true, it's quite puzzling why that's the case. The DB, by it's very style, already looks longer. Plus, since most of us have a natural hunch, it wears as though it were longer without the SB's open quarters to disguise how the coat 'opens'. It'd strike me as being commonsensical to have it at the same length as SBs or even a trifle shorter.

yep-- I think buying tailored clothing in the USA is just challenging overall, unless you're looking at very italian brands. I only own two DBs jackets, one from al Bazar milan and one from boglioli; both are softer shoulders and a trim cut-- but when i tried on a belvest italian blue DB not long ago, it was too loose and long for me.

here are two pics of me wearing the DB-suit.
I know that it is not super-short like the current "fashun" wants us to wear, but I quite like it.
Any comments welcome.

I will take some pictures with contrasting trousers this week and post them here, too.

Not at all too long. I can't comment on the tailoring details, but the basic proportions look great.

That looks good (i don't like pants from what i seen but it's really personal, jacket fits really good i think), the length is ok and not too long. is it bespoke ? Who made it ?

thanks.
It is Suitsupply RTW. I bought a long size, because basically this model is cut too short for my liking.
Pants are a bit too slim, but thats what you get when buying Suitsupply...

I came across the Canali jacket on ebay. Does this look like an orphan or blazer?

There is also this Hickey Freeman x Opening Ceremony (Mahogany, C Series) as well that the seller describes as a blazer, but the buttons tell me its orphaned.

The first one, maybe not given the buttons, but that color is very hard to pull off as an odd jacket. Also it looks like it's from the 80s. Avoid.

The second one is definitely an orphan suit jacket.

I dig it. Wish SS cuts didn't cause those sleeve pitch issues. The body fits like a god damn glove otr.
