I'm a bit late to this thread but my first adult suit was a faint chalk stripe navy DB in 1994. I bought it the summer before my last semester of college and it looked great on me as I was 6'4" and about 200lbs. Probably not the wisest choice for interviewing but I held onto it and can still sort of fit into it today even though I've bulked up from hitting the gym the last few years.

I also found a retro black chalk stripe DB at a vintage shop in 2004 for $45. The guy had just gotten it in the day before and it was my size to a T! I wore it for a play I was doing in which I played a pimp with a cane and a black bowler and it looked awesome. It's a little longer than usual so it's not quite the traditional style so I usually just pull it out for more casual events and Halloween. I try to pull it off as a pimp suit but usually get John Steed instead

Someone ordered both of these bespoke suits. They are in a local tailor's workroom waiting for final adjustments.
