Alright folks, I'm looking to add a titanium frame to my collection and was hoping to get some feedback! I tried on a ton and so many just didn't work.. (sorry Earl, I really really wanted it to work out!).

I've basically brought it down to:
* Atkins - Burgundy
* Apollinaire - Maple (or Cerise, not pictured)
* Marbot - Rose Gold

Thanks!

They all look good. My favourite is the Atkins.

Agree on Atkins. I'm waiting on the Flynn personally

The Apollinaire and Margot look great on you. I give the edge to Apollonaire. I’d wager most people would agree with me.

I would never use Costco for jmm frames (I’d use jmm dealers only but would consider an optical shop I trusted). That said, “we don’t work with thick acetate” is maybe one of the weirder excuses as lenses have nothing to do with the thickness of the acetate. If anything, they would be less likely to break thick acetate so they should actually be more cautious with ultra thin acetate.

Ironically I've had a few JMMs done there...torino, yves, and some for my wife as well. All thick acetate, no issues. Seems to be a new policy maybe? Or just my Costco isn't interested anymore.

I'm after a new pair of frames but cant find the colours in-person to see. Does anyone know the colour difference between Samoa, Havana 6 and Havana 7? online they all look quite similar. i'm after something subtle, towards darker while still being brown - and not too much contrast. i read that JMM shoot under bright lighting and that frames may appear less loud in-person but hard to tell online

Ignoring the size 53 dealan, are the Dealan 49mm or 50? It appears sometimes they are listed as 49 and other times 50. but they don’t make both do they?

Also - are the Alessandro Squarzi ones the normal size (if normal is 49), or are they 50mm?

I haven't seen the Samoa in person, but it looks like the old lava color mixed with some chestnut. The Havana 6 color is a classic Havana brown with brown lens and the Havana 7 looks like the frame is a bit brighter, a very subtle reddish hue, with blue lens. I think the Havana 6 would be what you're looking for if you want a subtle look with a classic brown frame and lens

Samoa looks identical to argyle but with exposed wiring.

The regular size is 49, also for the Alessandro Squarzi edition.
