If I'm not mistaken, Spoo is the master of the four in hand and the double four-in-hand.

FTFY.

I sometimes wonder what he might do with one of the half-Windsor variations and a medium spread collar.

I recently had a dream involving Spoo, a shoeshine and a length of pink cloth used to buff the shoes. The tag on the cloth said "Attolini" and had a nice dimple.

No, it's not, actually. In fact, it's far from that. Would have expected better from you.

The lack of a dimple makes it look like you don't know what you're doing. Somewhat similar in effect to lacking trousers, albeit at a different order of magnitude.

Let's review:

Terrible: (crushed, bunched up tie knot, obviously no clue what you're doing. And this I found from a site that was trying to give tie knotting instructions).

Better, still no dimple, at least it looks neat:

Best (a dimple really does look better, but sometimes fancy dimples like the reverse dimple end up looking like the first example if not done well, so be extra careful with those)

Here the tie is kinda ugly, but it's a good knot! Nice and tight with a well done dimple, looks 10x better than the neat no dimple and 1000x better than a crushed knot.
