buttondown collar shirts from LL Bean. Cheap at retail, a $10 visit to tailor gets them to fit the way I want it, and has a nice collar roll.

my timex watch, simple minimalist design and easy to wear with anything.

I like my Uniqlo Japanese selvedge jeans. And I've been wearing Clarks desert boots since I was 15 -- I still wear them with anything short of a worsted suit. I also have some American Apparel organic cotton undershirts that I find quite comfortable.

Costco Kirkland BD dress shirts (the older ones, made in Mauritius--I don't like the newer ones made in China. Cost more, seem cheaper.)

Costco Kirkland wool, made-in-Italy "Fancy Pants." The most recent pair seemed to be made of a flimsier fabric and less generously cut. I think Costco is cutting quality to keep price point rather than maintaining quality and raising price commensurately.

Target polo shirts (although I don't wear polos much)

Target khakis, especially the "Legendary Golds" that cost only $10.99 or so and have held up amazingly well.

Just about anything I've gotten from Lands' End.

Feather razor blades, at 50 cents (or less in bulk) each, they blow the hell out of any cartridge razor.

My two pair of black Dickie... Last me through out high school (uniform) and 2.5 years working at this restaurant. Pretty tough pants...

EDIT : I still wear it when I'm doing something around the house or help out my dad with some random side jobs.
