Does anyone else struggle with how Carmina blocks their Chelseas and Jodhpurs at the instep? I like my Jodhpurs, but I can't say that they were a complete success because I have to cinch the strap to the last hole and even then it's spacious. I have a pair of shell Chelseas that aren't as exaggerated as your boots, but I'm going to sell them because I can tell that my instep is too low for the fit to make me happy.

I had to sell my Chelsea boots for this exact reason. I also find that the lace holes on high boots get closer the further up the shaft they are. Not had this with other makers.

For those that have placed and received MTO's from Carmina, how has the experience been?

I'm planning on ordering a pair of navy shell tassel loafers next month (when the MTO surcharge is waived). In your experience, how long does it typically take to receive your pair? Any customs issues? QC issues?

Yeah i think mid month next month. When i bought my Rubi Cordovan tassels, i was talking to them about navy cordovans and that its too bad they don't stock them. I said was thinking about a MTO and the manager told me to wait until Oct when they do a MTO fee waive. That got me excited. I've called back like 2-3 since to reconfirm its going to happen haha.

Heh, I was thinking the same (surprise - surprise). Probably from seeing the Forest-A last boots, which I must admit are tempting but likely too narrow for me.

Nah, those are half a size too big for me. Having a bit of a run of bad luck with sizing these days.

My second long-awaited Bourbon pair arrived today. Really quite nice as well, nothing major just like the Green pair that arrived on Monday. Two lightning strikes in one week! One panel is a decent shade lighter, but that's light colored shell for ya.

Being my first two pairs of Carminas, off the bat I'm really impressed with the finish and overall aesthetic of the boots and their craftmanship.
