@Snoogz without volume or being an ebay top rated seller to receive usps commercial plus rate, the least expensive way to ship shirts within the US is via usps first class mail (under 1 lb) paying on usps.com, paypal, or ebay at commercial base rate. i've always packaged clothing items under 1 lb in UPS express plastic pak, which is very light and durable. Just turn it inside out before using it.

Yohji saga continues. I accepted the return for the jacket that I called black but the buyer thinks is brown. Now he sends this:

I've never had a buyer ask for a refund for this sort of thing, and I have no idea how much (if anything) to offer.
Suggestions welcome.
Screw that... I would call eBay and point out his not-so-carefully-worded ploy to extract a partial refund from you. So what if he is out of the country. That should not affect your bottom line. Return it for a refund or deal with it. Like @Fueco said, if he sends it back, you know that the douchebag was lying.

Buyers have 5(or 10) business days to send back the returns, so you can call back and have it closed in your favor.

Also, guys — what’s the deal with having to upgrade to a PayPal business account just to keep using Grailed?

Don’t really want to change, as I’m not a business :(

If you’re selling online, you’re a business. You don’t have to register as a business with the state until you cross a certain threshold of sales, but you are a business. Grailed probably is trying to cover themselves more than anything by making sure their sellers are legitimate.

Thanks. I prefer to think of myself as #thriftlife, but I see I may have crossed over...

I figured the whole thing with the verified user/address/banking info would be enough for them. Bastards.

Here's one for your block lists:

Buyer purchased a jacket from me, then opened a 'NAD' case on eBay. The jacket is a size 56 and I noted that it fits like an XL. The buyer claimed that "it fits more like a 2XL." When eBay reviewed the case, they ruled in my favor. However, a couple of days later, the buyer opened a case on PayPal and apparently (what was told to me by a PayPal representative), threatened a chargeback. So, despite the fact that I was right, PayPal ruled in the buyer's favor to avoid a chargeback. I've now wasted a lot of time and am out the eBay fees. Block this guy and save yourself a headache.

Once the item is returned and you have sent the refund call ebay and they will give you back to final value fee.

No offense, but I took a look at the listing, and you're not doing yourself any favors by giving your opinion of the size and not providing measurements. I'd give measurements and reference the Belstaff size chart below.

None taken. I realize it'd be smart to add measurements and will make sure not to add my opinions on the size in future listings. Lesson learned.

Yeah, putting things in your listings like, "fits like a slim L" or "I usually wear a size X in brand Y" is far too subjective and leaves you open to all sorts of trouble. I also found providing "too much" sizing info can paint you into a corner. Best to just do several standard measurements, how those items are measured, and an invite to ask all questions prior to purchasing.

If a dress shirt is tagged a 37 I ushually add 14.5/xs since that’s what it converts to (at least for this particular brand), as well as include measurements. I guess I shouldn’t “translate” the size?

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I've never had issues with eBay sales, and I thought I'd bring this buyer to your attention. The way he handled things was pretty crappy and threatening a chargeback to get his way goes to show he's a dishonest buyer. If he just contacted me, letting me know what the issue was, even though I don't take returns, I would worked with him so long as he covered the shipping back to me.

I have a no return policy, but had someone open a return because the "item does not fit" The item was listed according to the tagged size, a photo of the tag was included, and measurements were provided. In a message, he indicated that it was a fit issue. I rejected the return and got a negative feedback; with the feedback indicating "not as described". Do I have any ground to stand on to get ebay to remove the feedback? ...or is the "no return" policy just a bluff I do to scare off the majority of tire kickers, but always have to eat the returns?
