Allen Edmonds Dundees, Bill's Khakis Donegals. (with no blue specks, which has dampened my love of these a bit!)

ADDED:
Confession. Bought these pants 2 years ago during Bill's sellout and just lost enough weight to wear them. I put them on at 5am and took the above picture before the sun came up.

When the sun came up...I was excited to see that despite my earlier perception, including the above picture...blue specks are there. Surely that was known when I bought them, but was not apparent this morning when I dug them out. Lovin it!

** still like @saurabh 's pair better, his image sent me looking for this pair.

Latest eThrift came in today. It needs moisturizing bad and the soles have this weird residue.

The insole says Resisto. Does that mean anything? USA made too. Great steal.

It depends more on rubber compound than sole type. Softer rubber will provide more traction in slippery conditions than harder rubber.

Making headway on my Yanko Chelsea's!

Original finish:

20180111_201327.jpg

Stripped with Renomat, conditioned with VSC then 1925 creme in Havane/Tobacco and followed by many, many layers of hard wax in the same colour. Still not to the mirror shine stage yet, left boot is foggier than the right due to the larger pores, will probably do a few more layers. Debating whether to keep going of let it build up with age and wear it as is (but I can't pluck my nosehairs with the blurry reflection yet!).

One thing I like about EG other than their incredible boots is their service. Ordered Thursday night and they arrived on Monday. Burgundy utah & delapré / dainite soles. My pic does not do this boot justice.
