just when I'm starting to worry I might be turning into too much of a conformist, I slip on a pair of EG Utah boots and am reminded this leather is easily my most favorite EG leather.

From your trip to Northampton? These are the kind of Galways I would snatch up. Did you mention what they had on offer at the factory store? :)

No didn't get these in Northampton.

Turned out the EG factory only had one pair I wanted to take; a beautiful pair of Chestnut Utah Galways. They had lot's of regular shoes (not boots) in stock in my size, and a few boots. I'd say of all the factory stores I visited, they had the most selection in terms of various sizes, and shoes as well as boots on offer. I went there for two things; was hoping I would get lucky and they'd have the Camden in brown Utah, they did but not my size, and they had the Chestnut I wanted.

You are going to have to upload a picture (or pictures) of your Northampton swag sooner or later. :)

Very nice. I have a pair in brown Utah on the 64 last (veldt, shearling-lined shaft). After a couple of winters, that leather gets better and better.

Yes. My first experience with the leather was the Kentmere which appealed to me because they reminded me of my military boots. I fell in love with the leather though. Others have said they’ve had poor harsh weather experiences with them. I’ve had the opposite experience. I wear them when it rains, in ice, snow etc..and they’ve performed exceptionally. After that I was like I have to have more boots in this leather.
