^ Great video. Great tune. Thanks for posting.

Check out Gomez in the Ulster collar DB. The 70s are in full swing.

Yeah, it baffles me every time. To be part of that audience, it looks like a miniscule crowd, must have been awesome. Makes me wonder if the emotion in his playing is amplified live.

Just got through that jazzwax interview on Evans by his girlfriend (at the time of his death). Rough stuff.

I love Bill Evans. My foolish heart had to grow on me, it's not a song I just fell in love with when I first heard it but it's one of my fav's now. My fav songs by bill evans would be his playings of Martina and my foolish heart, probably throw in when Autumn comes in there. I can listen to that all day long.

I'm looking to buy a complete Bill Evans CD collection as a gift. I can spend up to $200, maybe $250. Can I can some ideas as how to spend it? Should it include the Last Waltz ($80 alone)?

Thanks.

Get these three: The Complete Live at the Village Vanguard 1961

The Complete Riverside Recordings

Turn Out the Stars: The Final Village Vanguard Recordings, June 1980

The Riverside Recordings is basically all of his major single disc live and studio albums.

And skip the last waltz? I am running out of time. I really want to get the complete set or at least a strong "best of"...
