I'm really a fan of some of Chuck Bass's clothing from earlier seasons. True, it's very flashy, but it definitely suits him.

So good that you had to post it 5 times?

Henry Ian Cusick as Stephen Finch on "Scandal"

Sorry for late post and I'm aware the results are out. Just wanted to get MHO out there.

So true, most people in their 20's try to dress like Barney Stinson.
Why? It is all they about suits.
I don't think a lot of people in their 20s did respond. Barney stinson may dress well now. But in early episodes gross. 3 button brown suits with huge lapels.

Not to mention Matt Bomer off White Collar didn't make it on the list. There is article after article about how to "dress like Neal Caffrey". Not to mention almost single-handedly bringing back fedoras and tie clips. Take a look at GQ and what they show-off in there before White Collar and then compare to after White Collar got noticed.

As far as 20+ goes I don't think thats the case. Harvey Spectre is placed number 3. He pulls off the look well. But those Lapels are huge and what is with the 4 inch ties? 3 inches is plenty, 2.5 is pushing way to skinny.

Almost any character on a show from the 50's, imo. Polos, chinos, suits, and hats.... why did men stop wearing hats? Was it the 60's-70's that ruined fashion in the U.S. and made everyone so comfortable being slovenly?

It's mostly attributed to JFK. Hats were generally falling out of favour but when he didn't wear one at his presidential inauguration, the masses followed. Likely not the sole reason (e.g. the automobile example posted earlier) but like all things, things fall in and out of favour.

Who do you think deserves a TOP10 spot of the "Best Dressed Male TV Character's List"?
Here some suggestions:
Chuck Bass, Don Draper, Nucky, Nolan Ross, Barney Stinson, Steven Colbert
I am surveying style/fashion interested men about this and will be writing an article with the results. Your input is appreciated!
Thanks
H

I'd vote for Roger Sterling over Don Draper. I'm not sure why, but I really find his style to be more appealing. In fairness, I am biased to 3-piece suits. Other characters that have been mentioned here Harvey Spectre from Suits and Neal Caffrey from White Collar.

Sterling is always better than Draper.

Caffrey seems like he is trying way too hard.

I tried to tell some people in my dorm (we're all pretty close friends), "Barney Stinson doesn't dress particularly well. He just doesn't dress poorly and he's always dressed up." Of course, I got shouted down. My top two are Spectre and Caffrey, but I don't watch much TV at all.

I actually started wearing the Fedora's he wears. I love the look, though I do feel it's a bit overdone. For some reason, I feel like Men's hats never really came back?
