I don't think a lot of people in their 20s did respond. Barney stinson may dress well now. But in early episodes gross. 3 button brown suits with huge lapels. So true, most people in their 20's try to dress like Barney Stinson.
Why? It is all they about suits.
Harvery Specter wears Tom Ford suits.Do you know who makes the suits for him, Cary Agos and Neal Caffrey?
Almost any character on a show from the 50's, imo. Polos, chinos, suits, and hats.... why did men stop wearing hats? Was it the 60's-70's that ruined fashion in the U.S. and made everyone so comfortable being slovenly?
Who do you think deserves a TOP10 spot of the "Best Dressed Male TV Character's List"?
Here some suggestions:
Chuck Bass, Don Draper, Nucky, Nolan Ross, Barney Stinson, Steven Colbert
I am surveying style/fashion interested men about this and will be writing an article with the results. Your input is appreciated!
Thanks
H
I tried to tell some people in my dorm (we're all pretty close friends), "Barney Stinson doesn't dress particularly well. He just doesn't dress poorly and he's always dressed up." Of course, I got shouted down. My top two are Spectre and Caffrey, but I don't watch much TV at all.I don't think a lot of people in their 20s did respond. Barney stinson may dress well now. But in early episodes gross. 3 button brown suits with huge lapels.
Not to mention Matt Bomer off White Collar didn't make it on the list. There is article after article about how to "dress like Neal Caffrey". Not to mention almost single-handedly bringing back fedoras and tie clips. Take a look at GQ and what they show-off in there before White Collar and then compare to after White Collar got noticed.
As far as 20+ goes I don't think thats the case. Harvey Spectre is placed number 3. He pulls off the look well. But those Lapels are huge and what is with the 4 inch ties? 3 inches is plenty, 2.5 is pushing way to skinny.
